August production releases (12 to 27 August)

A round-up of everything that reached production in August.

Practice and scoring

  • Results are back on the weighted scale, and the two results sections are now called "What to Celebrate" and "Where to Lean In".
  • Scoring is more resilient: transient failures retry on their own, a garbled reply is re-run once instead of failing, and pending scores recover.
  • The AI coaching model was upgraded to Claude Sonnet 5.
  • The mastery band on the Session Complete card is larger and never wraps in any language.
  • Going Back from a practice call releases the microphone before the screen changes.

Culture feed

  • Instagram photos and carousels render as photos, not as a dead video shell.
  • TikTok clips play natively and silently until you tap; feed sound stays off until you turn it on.
  • The video countdown is driven by the real media length.
  • A watcher emails content owners when a published post stops displaying, and repairs what it can first.
  • Content can be scheduled across two publish weeks, with per-week state and repeat badges.
  • Content is scoped by market.

My Team

  • My Team returned as an aggregate view, and a leader's scope is resolved from the stores assigned to them.

Admin

  • Corporate user provisioning: add corporate users with an Employee ID, bulk CSV import with per-row commit, and ten consolidated corporate roles including Market SuperAdmin and Read-Only.
  • District names are shown by name everywhere, with the code kept as the key.
  • Today: duplicate a week, and images are only saved when you press Save.
  • Analytics HQ: coach.com styling, per-widget market tabs, featured persona, "You" section, store leadership team, and region names without the parent-company prefix.
  • Saves are decoupled from media uploads, with truthful previews and actionable upload errors.
  • The Knowledge Base is limited to global super admins and the legacy Admin role was retired.

Across the app

  • Sign-in and session handling hardened for slow connections and shared devices.
  • Honest error states with working retries, better contrast and tap targets, right-to-left support, faster loads and lighter bundles.
  • 146 more strings translated into all 15 languages.
  • Chat retries once on a transport failure before showing an error.

Admin: Region, Market And Read-Only Admin Roles

Environment: Dev & QA
Admin access was effectively all-or-nothing, and the regions people could be assigned to were names attached to nothing — a regional role resolved to no stores, no market and no rights.

  • Regions now resolve to real stores. The mapping already existed in the store roster and matches one-to-one across it, so regions are connected to it rather than guessed at.
  • A regional super admin is held to their regions instead of reaching everything.
  • A read-only role can see the admin without being able to change anything.
  • One canonical country list. Every screen used to work out its own list of countries, so the answer to which countries you could provision into differed depending on where you asked. There is now a single list behind all of them, and both import paths check against it.

Admin: Broken Culture Posts Now Raise An Alert

Environment: Dev & QA
Published culture posts go bad quietly. Their media is hosted elsewhere and expires, and publishers delete, hide or region-lock posts days after we schedule them. Nothing raised a flag, so the first sign of a broken card was always a person noticing — which is how 47 of 49 published carousel frames went bad before anyone spotted it.
Every published post is now checked on a schedule. When one stops displaying, the owners get a single email naming the post, explaining in plain terms what is wrong, and linking straight into the admin. Partly broken carousels are flagged too, because the rot spreads frame by frame and is cheapest to fix early. The check tries to repair a post before it alerts anyone, and no longer raises false alarms on healthy players.
